Why Shoot a Butler? - Georgette Heyer

Felicity has an Alsatian. I wasn't sure what kind of dog that was, so I Googled it. It turns out that Alsatians are German Shepherds. Breeders in the UK changed the name to Alsatian after WWI because they were afraid having "German" in the name would adversely affect the breed's popularity. It wasn't officially changed back to German Shepherd until 1977.
