Okay Ending To An Okay Trilogy

Once again, I'm not feeling motivated enough for an in-depth review. This author's writing style rubs me the wrong way, but even if it didn't I don't think I could give this book or the whole series more than a 2.5 rating. It's just okay. At the 75% mark I thought it was going to be one doozy of a rushed ending, but I needn't have worried. With so many sub-plots left unresolved there was plenty of time to focus on the main plot and do a lot of backtracking in order to examine events from every possible viewpoint. *sigh*
At the time I'm writing this there is a prequel trilogy in existence which I have no plans to read, and I suspect there will be sequels as well. The saga of sadly-not-a-Borg-baby and a few other unresolved sub-plots suggest Mr. Phillips may not be quite done with these characters yet. Though I don't regret my time spent on this series, I have no plans to read any subsequent books either, not even if sadly-not-a-Borg-baby takes center stage.
