The writing is absolutely lovely. I'm half in love with the Chief Inspector already. I mean, come on! A skilled homicide detective with a long-lasting, stable marriage and happy home life? Please and thank you! The only drawbacks so far are the number of proofing errors and the rookie Agent Nichol. She must have some redeeming qualities that got her the job, but so far they've been almost completely eclipsed by her obnoxiousness. I want to slap her upside the head and tell her to grow the hell up, but even if that were possible her head's too far up her ass for me to reach it.
