The existence of this surprisingly good middle grade Star Wars adventure makes the existence of Heir to the Jedi even more pointless than it was before. This is such a vastly superior depiction of Luke Skywalker fumbling with the Force in the absence of a teacher. It's so much better that comparing it to Heir to the Jedi feels terribly unfair. Well done, Jason Fry, and a tip of my hat to Phil Noto for his excellent illustrations. I'm glad I sprang for the hardcover.
