I'm a bit under the weather so this will be short.
This book is a damn fine conclusion to the series. War is super-duper messy and Brown doesn't seem to be into pulling punches. It's dark, it's more brutal and gory than the previous books, and pretty much nothing goes exactly to plan. And I loved every minute of it.
Except the present tense and the sentence fragments. That stuff still makes me twitchy. But it's totally worth it.
I shall now sit and stare at the calendar until Brown's next book comes out. It will probably also be in present tense. Gorydamnitall. *sigh!* Bring it on.
