I have finished going through my Kindle freebies collection. I started out with nearly 140 unread titles on the shelf. After weeding out the books with bad editing, formatting, writing, etc., I'm left with 34 titles that looked decent at least up to the 5-10% mark.

 

Damn, I'm tired.

 

I'm going to take a moment to sob in the shower over the state of self-publishing.

 

Then I'm going to get on Facebook and unfollow all those pages that advertise free Kindle books.

 

Then I'm going to sob some more.

 

Then I'm going to read something traditionally published. And stuff my face with chocolate. Chocolate makes everything better.
